CEO Tech Emerson Fittipaldi Limited Edition

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of motorsport legend Emerson Fittipaldi becoming the first home driver to win the Brazilian Grand Prix, TW Steel has chosen to honour its famed brand ambassador with another timepiece, the CEO Tech Emerson Fittipaldi Limited Edition (CE4017 – 48mm).

The Brazilian’s heritage is proudly incorporated into this stunning new piece, limited to a run of just 777 models, based on the number seven being the designated ‘lucky’ number of the 66-year-old two-time Formula One World Champion. With yellow and green accents housed on a sleek black dial, with a green ’40’ highlighted on the left chrono eye – the use of colours of the Brazilian flag are subtle design inputs requested by Fittipaldi – whose popularity is as strong today as it was when he raced to his title successes in 1972 and 1974.

The introduction of the CEO Tech Emerson Fittipaldi Limited Edition follows on from the success of the Sao Paulo native’s previous and highly popular TW Steel executions, TW609 (45mm) and TW610 (48mm) from the Grandeur Tech collection.

Powered by a state-of-the-art Big Caliber Chronograph Miyota 6S20 movement, one which is four times more powerful than any other chrono movement and fitting for a man who’s talent also powered him to two ‘Indy 500’ victories, the CEO Tech Emerson Fittipaldi Limited Edition boasts a truly luxurious appearance complete with sapphire crystal. Featuring a sandblasted PVD black coated steel case, it houses a black dial with gold colored indexes. Emerson’s name is subtly housed in green on the tachymeter ring while his signature adorns the case back.

Further highlights include the screws on the piece using AA-grade PVD yellow gold plating, as do the pushers, while they also come with a polished finish as does the end of the crown for added appeal. The look is completed with a black Italian leather strap with croco print and a sandblasted PVD black coated case with PVD yellow gold plated screws. The piece is 10 ATM water resistant.

“Emerson is a tremendous ambassador for TW Steel thanks to his amazing personality and worldwide popularity,” stated TW Steel CEO Jordy Cobelens. “He’s truly a special person and as such we wanted to create an equally popular and luxurious timepiece to honour him. With just 777 pieces being produced, I have no doubt they’ll be purchased quickly thanks to his appeal.”

“It’s a beautiful watch but then I’d expect nothing less from my friends at TW Steel,” enthused Fittipaldi. “It’s a privilege to put your name to something that reflects your belief in both excellence and performance. I am sure my fans and watch lovers alike will appreciate the design accents we’ve used to make this watch relevant to me and my heritage. It’s quite special to have a second TW Steel with my name attached to it, especially a limited edition as stylish as this!”
