Armin Strom’s Skeleton Pure Water was recognized for excellence in product design in the 2015 Red Dot Design Award international competition.
Part of the limited edition Skeleton Pure collection, introduced in 2014 is the result of Armin Strom’s effort to create a modern skeleton piece that would eliminates anything extraneous from the bare caliber and highlights the layered construction of the movement by colorizing the essential components.
The hand wound ARM09-S is a double-barrel movement that offers 8-days of power reserve with hours, minutes, small seconds and power reserve indicator.
At its 60th year, the Red Dot Design Award recognizes excellence of product design in 31 categories. At this year’s edition, the 38 member jury, composed of independent designers, professors and journalists, had to go through no less than 5000 products to choose the winner of each category.
The Red Dot stands for top achievements in design all over the world. For the next year, this sought-after seal will be present on the packaging, retail display and international advertising of the Skeleton Pure Water.
