Xetum is pleased to announce the November 6 launch of the newest addition to its collection, the PVD Tyndall Carbon Fiber (a limited edition of 300 pieces).

The new limited edition Tyndall Carbon Fiber builds upon the sleek, instrument style look of the popular Tyndall collection. It will be priced at $1695 USD and offers:

  • Carbon fiber dial
  • All-black PVD case
  • Elaboree grade Sellita SW 260 or ETA 2895 Swiss automatic movement
  • Sequentially numbered engraved rotors

Each watch is 40mm in diameter, and paired with a hand-made, naturally-tanned leather strap and black PVD deployment clasp. The strap features Xetum’s signature strap lining made of Italian cork and embossed with the Xetum logo.

This is Xetum’s second limited edition watch. Their first, offered in 2011, sold out quickly, and this new limited edition is expected to be a popular holiday offering.

Says Xetum designer Jeff Kuo:

“Throughout the past couple of years, our fans have repeatedly asked about new limited edition watches, and have also asked for what we could offer with a carbon fiber dial. We considered numerous options and felt that the all black PVD Tyndall aesthetic would pair very well with a subtly executed grey carbon dial.”

“We are excited to be able to offer this new piece to our customers and fans, and feel that the style is in keeping with the rest of our collection. This is not a flamboyant or flashy limited edition, but rather a piece that will immediately catch your eye, but do so in a nuanced and tasteful way.”

The PVD Tyndall Carbon Fiber will be available for $1695 USD at www.xetum.com/LTD, and will also be available at Watch Station in San Francisco.

As a graphic designer, I'm fascinated by the crossroads between technology and aesthetics. Horology is one of these crafts, where art and engineering come together to produce mechanical wonders that grace the eye. WatchPaper was born from the desire to create an online tool where I can share my passion for watches.
