A sporting spirit, a determined attitude, a sophisticated nature: the men’s chronograph from Léon Hatot comes with a polished steel case framing three shades of dial – charcoal grey, silver-coloured or chocolate brown. Inspired by the Chronolove ladies’ watch created in 2008, it displays its time measurement functions within a generous 43 mm diameter.

The chronograph counters and the small seconds subdial appear in a boldly overlapping configuration, while the date is displayed through a perfectly integrated slanted aperture between 4 and 5 o’clock. The hour and minute hands glide confidently around this fascinating stage, coated in a luminescent substance to enhance read-off. This legibility is also reinforced by a sunburst motif that lights up the dial and creates a striking contrast between its straight lines and the rounded shapes of the counters. Finally, the chapter ring with its discreetly transferred Arabic numerals accentuates the modern design of a resolutely masculine model that is water-resistant to 100 metres.

As a graphic designer, I'm fascinated by the crossroads between technology and aesthetics. Horology is one of these crafts, where art and engineering come together to produce mechanical wonders that grace the eye. WatchPaper was born from the desire to create an online tool where I can share my passion for watches.
