With new dates – 11th to 13th January –, a new highlight “Licences and Brands”, and a dedicated newsletter, the 2009 edition of Print’Or is set to leave its mark, and get the new year off to a dazzling start.

2009 marks a turning point for Print’Or. For its 17th edition, the international watch and jewellery show is moving its dates forward, to take place from 11th to 13th January 2009. “Moving the show to the start of January is in line with manufacturers’ expectations. Their sales teams can get the year off to an excellent start, and there is no longer a quiet period between the end-of-year festivities and the start of Print’Or”, says Olivier Colas, the show’s sales director.

But what about Vicenza Oro that takes place at the same time? “Hardly any exhibitors are concerned by this. However, for many other manufacturers and distributors, they will no longer have to choose between Lyon and Paris, where fashion events take place at the start of February”.

Visitors who were consulted about the change of date showed the same enthusiasm. “All of our institutional partners have given us their full support regarding the change of dates”, adds Philip Hall, Print’Or marketing manager, who underlines another advantage: “We have finally managed to rid ourselves of the long-running problem of winter school holidays, which start in February and create huge stress on the transport system. This meant that a number of jewellers couldn’t make it to the show and discover everything that Lyon has to offer”.

The place to be
It’s not only the dates that are new for this 17th edition. Print’Or will be presenting a new highlight, “Licences and Brands”, for fashion and sport labels. This lets them express their universe with watches and jewellery, and also with the full range of fashion and beauty accessories.
Other highlights for 2009 include: “L’avenue des savoir-faire”, where visitors will be able to meet craftspeople and sub-contractors from the fields of traditional and high-tech techniques, and the Sunday late opening which will conclude with the show’s traditional party.
“All of the sector’s new products and trends will be on preview at Print’Or”, concludes Philip Hall. If there’s one place to be at the start of the year, then it’s well and truly Print’Or.

“Print’Or Avant Première”: Be seen in the right place!
