TW Steel announcing the Slim Line Collection

The TW Steel TW1303 is part of the new Slim Line collection. While still keeping the imposing 45 mm diameter, these watches are on diet when it comes to thickness, resulting in an elegant yet modern collection.

When in the Q&A that we did with Jordy Cobelens, the CEO of TW Steel, he mentioned the imminent launch of the Slim Line collection, I was rather intrigued. TW Steel’s mantra is “Big in Oversized Watches” and I was curios to discover the result of them embracing the renaissance of slim watches.

I didn’t had to wait too long, today, TW Steel announced the launch of this new collection, consisting of ten new pieces, with different colour combinations, in a classic, more formal design.

The 45 mm case is either steel or A-grade PVD rose gold plated and when it comes to the dial it is worth mentioning that this is the first time TW Steel is using sun-ray dials, with hands and numbers matching the finish of the case.

All models utilize a Miyota 1S13 slim movement housed in a case which features a shine finish, adding an additional visual appeal to these sleek and slender new pieces.

In March, six of the new additions, TW1300 to TW1305, will be introduced. They sport a stylish turn edge leather croco-print strap, with the familiar two dots amended in position and size slightly in keeping with the slender design.

TW1306 and TW1307 feature steel bracelets while TW1308 and TW1309 are presented with steel bracelets resplendent in A-grade PVD rose gold plating. These models will be introduced in April and May.

The intention behind this line is clear, TW Steel wanted to offer a watch that would go with the more formal attire and I applaud the way they handled it without betraying their identity of young, sporty and “BIG TIME” brand.

Pricing for the Slim Line collection ranges from €279 to €399 / $389 US to $559.
