WYLER GENEVE’S GMT – The World’s Only Carbonneutral® Watch

Wyler Geneve GMT, the world’s only watch to be certified CarbonNeutral®

Wyler Geneve GMT, the world’s only watch to be certified CarbonNeutral®

With global warming being such a hot topic, many companies are trying to reduce their impact on the environment and promote products that are eco-friendly. So where does the watch industry stand on this? Out of all the watch brands that exist in the world today, Wyler Geneve is the only one to have found a solution to our growing environmental plight: the GMT, the world’s only watch to be certified CarbonNeutral® by the CarbonNeutral® Company.

The certification means that all elements and stages involved in the production of the watch have been analyzed and their carbon emissions calculated. This includes all energy used, all waste generated and all transportation required to bring the watches to the company’s headquarters. The resulting emissions are then offset through projects managed by the CarbonNeutral® Company. This was a logical progression for Wyler Geneve, which has already rendered all operations from its Geneva headquarters CarbonNeutral®. This is only the first step on Wyler Geneve’s path to reduce their emissions; they are working every day to become a greener company and provide a product that has no impact on the environment, or the consumer’s conscience.

As a graphic designer, I'm fascinated by the crossroads between technology and aesthetics. Horology is one of these crafts, where art and engineering come together to produce mechanical wonders that grace the eye. WatchPaper was born from the desire to create an online tool where I can share my passion for watches.
