The bewitching “DIAMOND FLOWER” collection decks itself out in black and white ceramic

A redesigned case, with an impeccable profile and curve, the “Diamond Flower” collection combines materials and perpetuates the charm of unique technology.

Very chic, the new Perrelet design is surprisingly radiant. Its ceramic case, either profoundly black or immaculately white, overlaid with a diamond-set bezel, embodies elegance and perfect harmony.

Charm and seduction emanate from the intensity of the black and its iridescent mother-of-pearl dial. In contrast, there is a whole lightness and freshness in the purity of the white with its voluptuous mother-of-pearl dial.

This original marriage of the arts of luxury watch and jewelery-making accentuates the value of the Double Rotor transformed into a finely sculpted lotus flower which, in passing, brushes against diamond set petals strewn sparingly over the face of the dial, which becomes technical entity in its own right.

Connected and perfectly synchronized with the oscillating weight, it generates additional energy for the winding mechanism, and so each woman energizes her watch through her own movements.

A glance takes in its steel bezel, marveling at its curves and the bracelet’s refined association of ceramic with fine steel strips.

Ladies who choose to wear this delicate, sensual creation on their wrist, will arouse the curiosity of their friends and quickly realize they have made an exceptional choice.

A plush atmosphere for discovering or rediscovering the Prestige Edition of the Diamond Flower collection.

The Diamond Flower collection, thanks to its different versions, was awarded prizes on several occasions and voted Watch of the Year by the Swiss public in 2008. This feminine watch combines finesse and harmony, and for the first time, jewellery and watchmaking technology harmonise to give a rare and vibrant expression of time.

Based on its Double Rotor, a patented complication, the heirs of Perrelet dared to create an audacious setting. Diamonds, rubies, sapphires or emeralds go beyond the simple transformation of a watch with feminine jewels. The visible rotor on the dial, sculpted for the occasion with lotus flowers, is linked and perfectly synchronised with the oscillating weight and supplies additional energy to the winding mechanism.

PERRELET Diamond Flower Prestige Edition A7005

Every woman thus animates her watch by her own movements.

Among the different versions proposed, there are several exclusive treasures that only certain initiates will be familiar with. A Prestige Edition with 7 interpretations, which are completely exceptional.

The jeweller’s craft is an art, and as with a jewellery arrangement, the setting of the dial, the bezel and the lugs endows each of its works with its own character. Rubies reflect passion, emeralds denote hope, sapphires represent the infinite skies and ocean and diamonds and baguette diamonds stand for eternity. This panoply of contrasts accompanies passionate women with a rare elegance. Visual appeal and its emotional impact will bring the subtle touch of refinement, which will seduce the women who are searching for exclusivity.

The spirit of this collection is on the move, as Perrelet will be presenting a preview of a new Diamond Flower duo in black and white ceramic at the next Basel Fair, from 18 to 25 of March next.

Epicureans take note!

18 January 2010 – No watch is more closely identified with OMEGA’s pioneering spirit than the Speedmaster.

The legendary chronograph has a long list of adventures to its credit, including every one of NASA’s piloted missions since May of 1963. When Buzz Aldrin stepped onto the lunar surface in 1969 wearing his OMEGA Speedmaster Professional, the watch achieved true iconic status.

In 2010 OMEGA is introducing a selection of 38 mm Speedmaster Ladies’ wristwatches. The first of the new releases combines the robust sportiness and chronograph performance which have long characterized the line with some touches of elegance not normally associated with the rugged Speedmasters.

Like the Speedmaster Professional, this member of the famous family has a stainless steel case but it has been dressed up with an 18 Ct pink gold bezel ring paved with 54 diamonds.

The COSC-certified chronometer is presented on a specially-treated grey alligator leather strap. The watch is powered by the OMEGA calibre 3304, a self-winding mechanical movement.

In addition to its full chronograph function, it has a date window at 6 ‘clock.

The OMEGA Speedmaster Ladies 38 mm: precision chronograph performance has never been more fashionable.

A silvery moon on a spring night; a star that glistens reaches its peak and then disappears. A symbol of passing time, living time and the moon that entrances us with its rounded, delicate lines the new Longines PrimaLuna is a tribute to this silvery star. Its soft silhouette is enhanced by the exquisite purity of the dial and the whole is illuminated by a play of sparkling diamonds. Graceful, magical, this is a model that will seduce women who appreciate contemporary, sophisticated elegance.

The Moon has been used to measure time by every civilization; this night star is feminine, cyclical and eternal. A star that produces dreams! In many cultures the New Moon is a symbol of renewal when it marks the beginning of a new year or the arrival of spring. To pay tribute to this mystical star, the famous Saint-Imier watchmaker is launching an exquisitely fine interpretation of the magic of the Moon this year: the Longines PrimaLuna.

The subtle mystery of spring, the Longines PrimaLuna emerges from a wakening world. The Moon is no longer pale but iridescent, opaline, masterful. Sheherazade moves elegantly into position under the stars…

The delicate gleam of stainless steel, the rich hue of rose or yellow gold, or the blend of rose gold and steel. A sleek bracelet of steel, gold or steel and rose gold or a leather strap. A selection of heavenly dials: white, silvered or mother-of-pearl decorated with hour symbols, Arabic or Roman numerals or diamonds. And finally, three hands, blued, gilded or rose, that marks the passing of time. As multifaceted as the modern woman, the Longines PrimaLuna range offers a selection of models in four sizes.

This ladies’ watch is at the same time a piece of jewellery. The pleasing curves of the case are enhanced by a play of diamonds. Precious pieces of pure carbon that glitter with fascination… so feminine! Similarly, the white mother-of-pearl dials of the most sophisticated models are also decorated with sparkling teardrops that will seduce any woman who appreciates diamonds.

Resolutely elegant, contemporary, subtle and carefree. The new Longines PrimaLuna offers to every woman, every modern Sheherazade, to each luminous, unique female a magical world represented by this new collection of exquisite models.

Thursday 07 January 2010 – Every constellation in the universe has its brightest stars, and in OMEGA’s newly-redesigned Constellation line, nothing glitters more brilliantly than the unique and luxurious Constellation Baguette.

The Constellation Baguette has been created with a strong and vivid visual identity – its dial displays a dramatic supernova structure which emanates boldly from the diamond Constellation star on its mother-of-pearl background at 6 o’clock. The one-of-a-kind masterpiece glistens with 459 Top Wesselton diamonds totaling just over 30 carats.

The “invisible” mounting of the 146 baguette and trapeze diamonds on the dial means that no trace of the 18 Ct white gold used in the creation of its case can be seen between the precious stones.

The Constellation Baguette is not only an aesthetic wonder: it is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8421. OMEGA’s Co-Axial technology, introduced in 1999, has revolutionized the way fine mechanical watches are made. The movement’s Co-Axial escapement reduces the amount of sliding friction in the watch, virtually eliminating the need for lubrication, which means longer service intervals and greater precision over time. The Si 14 silicon balance spring adds resistance to shock and the effects of external disturbances.

Omega Constellation Baguette

Because the OMEGA Constellation Baguette is a one-of-a-kind horological masterpiece, every one of its 459 diamonds has been cut specifically for the watch. As a result, if one of the stones needs to be replaced or exchanged, the process can take longer than it would for a series-production watch. Any new diamond will have to be custom-prepared so that it matches the colour, clarity, cut and carat size of the stones around it. In fact, due to the absolutely unique nature of the Constellation Baguette, no standard replacement parts can be kept in stock – each one would have to be specially created for this extraordinary timepiece.

The OMEGA Constellation Baguette is the most elegant Constellation ever created and expresses the ultimate blend of elegant design and superior watchmaking.

An authentic jewelery creation
Manufacture in Le Brassus is presenting an authentic jeweler creation set with over 500 diamonds and pink sapphires, and housing the world’s smallest self-winding movement, Calibre 615. This extraordinary timepiece is to be issued in a symbolically limited edition of 14 to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2010.

This exceptional creation is an anthem to Love and to Femininity, starting with the white and pink mother-of-pearl dial forming a heart and framed by a bezel set with over 500 diamonds and pink sapphires. A heart-cut diamond also appears at 12 o’clock, while the pin buckle is set with a pearshaped
pink sapphire.

The exquisite beauty of this exceptional two-hand watch also lies in the slenderness of its movement. Blancpain is proudly reintroducing the famous “Lady Bird” Calibre 615, still regarded as the world’s smallest self-winding movement and which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case-back.

This shaped watch is delivered with two genuine satin straps – one black and the other white. It comes in an extremely elegant presentation box featuring a design reflecting the pure lines of this dainty Valentine’s Day model crafted in a strictly limited edition of 14.

Longer lasting than flowers, less fattening than chocolate

Love is meant to endure. Shouldn’t the present you give to express your love do the same thing? Chocolate is delicious but it will soon be eaten and forgotten (unless it has added unwanted pounds). Flowers are beautiful but before long, they will wilt and be thrown away (unless you gave artificial flowers which would be the wrong way to express your genuine affection).

OMEGA has some proposals for gifts which will last well beyond this Valentine’s Day. And the next. And the one after that. And the one after that.

She will cherish her De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph forever. It is at once elegant and sporty, blending OMEGA’s state-of-the-industry Co-Axial technology with extraordinary design. Its bezel is paved with 42 diamonds and it has a full chronograph function, a perfect complement for a busy contemporary lifestyle. And if she already has an OMEGA watch, remember our Fine Jewellery Constellation Griffes Collection which features rings and pendants whose timeless design was inspired by our famous watches.

And he will love his De Ville 4-Counters Co-Axial Chronograph with its four sub-dials dramatically spread across the face of the watch. In a staggered row, from left to right, they feature the small seconds, a seven-day counter, the 12-hour counter and the 30-minute counter. Just above the centre of the watch is a window which shows the day of the week. Like the Ladies’ De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph, this COSC-certified chronometer is at once sporty and elegant.

Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember with an OMEGA De Ville Co-Axial Chronograph. It will still be expressing your feelings next Valentine’s Day (we can’t say the same about the flowers and the chocolate).

Ref. 7071R “Ladies First Chronograph”: The first Patek Philippe wrist chronograph to celebrate its debut as a model for ladies

More and more women have discovered a penchant for complicated wristwatches, especially those designed and crafted by Patek Philippe according to the finest traditions of horological artistry. They are attracted to the functionality and seductive beauty of chronographs. That is why Patek Philippe decided to initially launch its latest caliber with this attractive complication in a woman’s format. The Ref. 7071R “Ladies First Chronograph” enriches the manufacture’s collection of elegant and intricate watches explicitly designed for feminine wrists.

A memorable lesson in style

Inspired by Patek Philippe’s Art Deco watches from the 1930s, the Ref. 7071R comes in an elegant, cushion-shaped case with rounded angles. Its inimitably complex form can only be crafted by talented artisans. Its contemporary design is enriched by the warmth of 18K rose gold, the only precious metal in which the case is available. The rectangular buttons that activate the chronograph functions are eminently ergonomic, as is the fluted crown used to wind the movement.

The dial is available in silvery opaline or black with a guilloched pattern center. It has two subsidiary dials for the small seconds and for the 30-minute counter. Both sub-dials are slightly offset beneath the center axis of the large hands. This unusual arrangement is emphasized by the asymmetric scales for the seconds sub-dial and the minute counter. Leaf-shaped hour and minute hands in rose gold with luminescent coatings, elongated Roman numerals, the arrow-style chronograph hand, the fine baton hands for the subsidiary dials, and the railway track minute scale assure outstanding legibility.

The precious stone complement is as exclusive as the movement: the Ref. 7071R displays 136 full-cut round diamonds that embrace the round dial. Consummately set by master jewelers beneath the slightly domed sapphire-crystal glass, they radiate a fascinatingly prismatic firework of color that compliments the lady’s wrist and adds a gentle touch of feminine mystique to this technical watch.

The hand-stitched alligator straps are attached to the case with hinged lugs to assure a luxuriously comfortable fit on any feminine wrist.

All external elements – the case, the dial, the strap and the precious stone settings – are designed, crafted, and finished according to the very strict provisions of the Patek Philippe Seal, a unique promise of quality that applies to the watch in its entirety.

The sapphire-crystal case back reveals the beauty of the new CH 29-535 PS movement – its elegant geometry, the graceful decorations, and the captivating choreography of its 269 parts. For the time being, this première is for ladies only. As the saying goes: Ladies First …

World debut at the renovated Patek Philippe showrooms in Paris

Extraordinary engineering with an unusual name: the new CH 29-535 PS chronograph movement and the new Ref. 7071R “Ladies First Chronograph” premiered in early November on the occasion of the festive reopening of Patek Philippe’s showrooms in Paris. Established in 1995, the salon is located on 10 Place Vendôme, one of the world’s most illustrious addresses. Now, the showrooms have been enlarged, renovated, and totally redesigned to offer visitors more space, luxury, comfort, and hospitality. The venue in Paris exhibits the same Art Deco ambiance as the Patek Philippe salons in London and New York. Customers and connoisseurs are welcomed on two floors with nearly twice the former floor space. The spirit of tradition and innovation that prevails in Geneva is literally palpable here. While it is a seductive oasis for international clients who visit this exclusive sanctuary of haute horlogerie, Patek Philippe’s Place Vendôme venue also extends a standing invitation to the growing community of watch lovers in Paris and throughout France who are fascinated by its creations.

With the Golden Bridge Lady, CORUM introduces a splendid and original interpretation of its legendary model. For the very first time, the famous mechanical hand-wound “baguette” movement is positioned horizontally in the case, delicately engraved to provide a stunning panoramic vision of the gear trains in motion.

Its mainplate and bridges are crafted in 18K gold and topped by two black openworked hour and minute hands. The case of the new Golden Bridge Lady provides a splendid gold, diamond and sapphire stage-setting for the fabulous caliber. The contemporary-sized (41 x 34 mm) case of the Golden Bridge Lady, available in a choice of 18K red or white gold, is graced with perfect proportions well suited to dainty feminine wrists.

The curving case band is set with 108 diamonds, accentuating the precious appearance of this exceptional timepiece. The ethereal vision of the movement nestling inside the case is enhanced by two horizontal flanges arranged on either side of the sapphire crystal case-back and set with 72 diamonds. Thus framing the movement like a genuine work of art, they further magnify the radiance and elegance of the exquisite Golden Bridge Lady.

This epitome of elegance reserved exclusively for women as its name implies, sparkles with more than 2.5 carats of precious stones. The case is water-resistant to 30 meters and fitted with sapphire crystals on the front and back, both treated with an anti-reflective coating, while the crown is set with a white mother-of-pearl applique. The genuine crocodile leather strap comes in white for the red gold model and black for the white gold version, secured by a gold pin buckle. Due to their sheer complexity and exquisitely delicate gem-setting, only a few Golden Bridge Lady watches are to be produced each year.

Lacquer, firstly. The watch gains a strong identity from the small trapezoid partitioned off areas of enameling spread across the bezel. The white lacquer illuminates the bezel with its finest reflections.

Then mother-of-pearl. It magnifies the refined design of the dial, with an “open” date aperture providing an elegant contrast.

Located at 3 o’clock, the diamonds form an original off-centre pavé which emphasizes the unexpected design of the crown protector.

Like icing on a cake, the crown is topped with black onyx for a perfect finish.
