Stowa Ikarus Klassik Sport

Stowa announced the launch of the Ikarus Klassik Sport, basically a larger (43 mm) version of the Ikarus Klassik, which is a classic looking Flieger with a grey dial. The stainless steel case of theIkarus Klassik Sport is TESTAF certified. You might heard of TESTAF, this German tool watch certification developed by the faculty of Aerospace Technology at the Aachen University of Applied Sciences in collaboration with Sinn, which guaranties that a watch is extremely robust and water proof.

Special thick sapphire glasses on top and at the bottom protect dial and movement. Apart from that, proven components were used at this watch: Superluminova C3 for the numbers, hands and luminous index on the dial, as well as an ETA 2824-2 TOP automatic movement (Côtes de Genève decoration, blued screws, rhodium coated, handmade rotor with original B-Uhr engraving, serially numbered). It comes on a robber or leather strap.

Price starts from EUR 1,068.

As a graphic designer, I'm fascinated by the crossroads between technology and aesthetics. Horology is one of these crafts, where art and engineering come together to produce mechanical wonders that grace the eye. WatchPaper was born from the desire to create an online tool where I can share my passion for watches.
